PROJECT OVERVIEW

The key objectives of the updated Events, Arts & Culture Plan are to create a clear direction for future events, arts and culture priorities and strategies for the next five years and help shape an events, arts and culture scene that benefits our community, businesses, and visitors.

To ensure the accuracy and relevance of this document, stakeholder engagement will be conducted with local arts groups, industry representatives, government agencies, and importantly the community.

The Events, Arts & Culture Plan 2026-2031 aims to provide a comprehensive framework to build a future where the Charters Towers Region has a thriving events, arts and culture scene.

DRAFT PLAN READY FOR COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

The Draft Plan has been developed based on feedback and input received in the initial consultation period and is now ready for community review and feedback.

PROJECT SUPPORT

Council received funding from Arts Queensland through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Program to complete the review of the Events, Arts & Culture Plan.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Charters Towers Regional Council to support local events, arts and culture in regional Queensland.
