Why is a roundabout going in that location?
The installation of the roundabout is expected to lessen the severity of an accident, due to vehicles travelling at significantly lower speeds (<25 kph).
How long did construction take?
Construction of the Roundabout was proposed to commence Monday 12 April, 2021, and it was anticipated to take 16 weeks, until Friday 30 July, 2021, with detours in place during construction.
Are there decorative works on the roundabout?
Council installed synthetic grass on the roundabout to improve the aesthetics of the new structure. This assists in reducing whole-of-life costs, and does not compromise the pavement due to water ingress.
