Charters Towers Regional Council is seeking up-to-date information from residents on rural properties within the Charters Towers Region for the purpose of Disaster Planning.

A survey has been developed by Council to assist in identifying how to best assist our rural communities in circumstances such as floods, fires, cyclones and other unexpected emergencies. The information requested in the Survey relates to the best way to contact you during emergency situations, suitable sites on the property for helicopter landings, details relating to disaster preparedness, as well as in the event of re-supply operations.

It is entirely optional as to whether you complete the Survey, however, we would be grateful for as much information as possible to assist us in preparing for such events.

The information from the Survey will be held by Charters Towers Regional Council and used for the purpose of Disaster Management. It is proposed that this information will be updated on an annual basis.
