    Community Consulation

A project of this scale does not come to fruition without healthy debate. Council has actively engaged with the Charters Towers community to invite comment and to assist with Council deliberations on priority capital projects.  Through those conversations, the Water Park was identified in the Mosman Creek Corridor and Towers Hill Walking Track Master Plans commissioned in 2013, and the Community Plan 2011-2035, and the Water Park has been identified as one of ten priority projects by Council for 2020-2024.
